This summer, while the library is remodeling, we'll be having Adult Book Club at the Plainfield Performing Arts Center in their Garden Room.

Looking for people to discuss books with? You've found them.

Check with the reference desk (or any library in the STELLA system!) for the August Read, The Bee Sting, by Paul Murray. Then join us on July 30 to discuss it. (While there will be spoilers, it's ok to attend even if you didn't finish the book!)

Where did the current discontent and slow moving disasters overtaking the characters of this family novel come from? How far back do they go? Perhaps right back to the bee sting that struck on the day of the parents' marriage? And what will each member of the family do now? Check out this review in the Tufts Daily, or this interview with the author from The Booker Prize folks.

The September book will be All the Beauty in the World: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Me, by Patrick Bringley.
