Looking for people to discuss books with? You've found them.

Stop by the Reference desk to request a copy of our hilarious December read, Bad Monkey, by Carl Hiaasen. Then join us on October 18 to discuss it. (While there will be spoilers, it's ok to attend even if you didn't finish the book!)

Carl Hiaasen is famous for his satirical mystery novels set in the more unusual side of Florida. In this one, former detective Yancey (now moonlighting as a health inspector for the Department of Hotels and Restaurants) has to take a severed human arm found by sportfishermen to the Miami coroner, but despite the coroner's dissing of it, Yancey finds himself in more mystery involving it. The result is a crazy romp with assumed identities, eccentric girlfriends, possible Medicare fraud, and sport fishing, among other, ahem Florida man antics.

Upcoming Book Club Reads:
