For many, researching before 1870 is a hurdle in African American research. Learn about sources and strategies to trace ancestors back into the Antebellum Era.

Ari Wilkins is a graduate of Louisiana State University, and has been actively researching family history since 1998, specializing in African American research. 

This program is co-hosted with the Historical Society of Plainfield / Drake House Museum.
