Event Details

From ancient practices to modern day funerals, superstitions and customs abound when it comes to inhumation or interment. Whether one is buried six feet under or above ground in a crypt or mausoleum, learn the best practices for burying a corpse and protecting it from turning into a vampire or other revenant.

Covered in this macabre presentation are the differences of the undead such as zombies, vampires, ghouls and windigos. Catacombs, Hell Hounds and Doppelsaugers, oh my! If you're into the creepy afterlife, you'll really dig this!

Cohosted with the Historical Society of Plainfield / Drake House Museum.

This history program is made possible in part by a 2023 HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
