Paint "Kindness Rocks" to spread joy in the park or in your home-- with Glow in the Dark paint touches!
What are Kindness Rocks?
What’s that you found the ground? A painted rock! Hey, that’s exciting!
You may have seen painted stones and pebbles, perhaps with encouraging sayings, left in public places for others to pick up. This practice has been referred to by several names, including just “painted rocks” and “kindness rocks”.
Basically, it’s about both making and sharing a tiny piece of art, a way to encourage each other.
Plainfield Public Library is starting a series of events to paint Kindness Rocks (pebbles, acrylic paints, and all supplies provided) to be placed outside for others to find and enjoy. Of course, if you paint a stone and find you just can’t let it go, you can keep it.
Kindness Rock painting workshops (open to teens, tweens and adults):
Thursday October 20
Tuesday November 15
Tuesday December 13
Rocks, paints, markers and sealant all supplied. Finished rocks chosen for distribution will be preserved with an acrylic sealant and placed in Library Park. If you find one, pick it up, cherish it, and then reposition it for someone else to find!
