Check with the reference desk (or any library in the STELLA system!) for this month's read, The Color of Water: A Black Man's Tribute to His White Mother by James McBride. (Book Club members may recall McBride's novel The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store, which we read in 2023.) If you'd like to hear more from James McBride about his mother, and hear him performing his own jazz music, check out this CSPAN-2 video from his Riffin' and Pontificatin' tour.

(While there will be spoilers, it's ok to attend even if you didn't finish the book!)
