Looking for people to discuss books with? You've found them.

Stop by the Reference desk and to request/pick a copy of Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver at the library-- read it, then join us to discuss it on September 25. (While there will be spoilers, it's ok to attend even if you didn't finish the book!)

Demon Copperhead is a story about growing up in Appalachia in the midst of the opioid epidemic, based around the structure of Dicken's David Copperfield. If you'd like to more about it, check out an interview with Barbara Kingsolver in the New York times or this review of Demon Copperhead by Jessica Miller, a young person who's lived a similar life in Appalachia.

The October book will be The Painted Drum by Louise Erdich. Come help us decide what to read in the future!
