Program Description
Event Details
Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/) is a programming environment for kids with a simple visual interface that allows them to create digital stories, games, and animations. It's been featured in kids' activities like Girls Who Code and Hour of Code.
In this three-day workshop, kids ages 9-16 will set up (free) accounts on scratch.mit.edu, and learn how to program their chosen animation 'sprites' to move, fly, 'speak,' and do simple repeating activities on the screen. We'll finish up by creating a simple game.
Please plan to attend all three days of the workshop.
Pre-registration is suggested but not required.
